Cookie & Storage Policy
How the website uses cookies, browser storage and third-party embedded services.
Storage and access technologies
UK PECR rules apply not only to cookies but also to other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user's device, including browser storage, scripts, pixels and similar technologies. Where personal data is involved, UK GDPR also applies.
First-party session
Interactive features may start a first-party PHP session so the server can keep relevant enquiry/chat context for the browser session. Session cookies should be limited to what is necessary for the requested feature and protected with appropriate security attributes.
Browser storage used by this template
The supplied template contains browser localStorage logic associated with quote-form details. Because persistent browser storage falls within the UK's storage/access rules, it should be used only where an applicable PECR exception applies or after valid consent where required. The business should not add analytics, advertising or tracking storage without first implementing compliant controls.
Google Maps and third-party content
The current template contains an embedded Google Map that can connect to Google when the map loads. Google or other embedded third-party services may receive device/network information and may use storage/access technologies under their own policies. If those technologies are not covered by a PECR exception, valid consent should be obtained before they load.
Analytics and advertising
No Google Analytics or advertising pixel was identified in the supplied locked template during this compliance pass. If analytics, call tracking, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising are added later, they must be assessed under the then-current ICO guidance before deployment.
